This 250-square-metre residence in the mountains of Michoacán, Mexico, is so discreet you could pass right by it — or even over it — without registering its presence. At the front of the property, the architects set a path bounded by narrow concrete walls that takes you past an old tree and over a modest berm. Hidden beneath this structure, the house is a vaulted abode made of wood, stone, concrete and steel; subtle and protective, it’s integrated seamlessly into nature.
